One fixed price for the whole job, including VAT, agreed before we start. Every repeat treatment is covered, including the follow-up most homes need the next autumn, so the bill never grows.
Sprays and smoke bombs only kill the flies you can see. We treat the whole loft and the gaps they use to get in, then come back for repeat treatments until they stop returning.
Most of the work happens up in the loft. We’ll tell you how long to keep out of it afterwards, and if there’s anything to prepare before we arrive.
Outstanding service from start to finish. Quick to respond, showed up on time, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. Ben and Rosie were a joy to deal with: professional, thorough, and took the time to explain everything. I couldn’t be happier with the results and would highly recommend them.
We start in the loft, finding where the flies are clustering and how they’re getting in.
The main treatment is ULV (ultra-low volume) fogging, which fills the loft with a fine mist of insecticide and reaches the corners, insulation and voids where the flies hide. We then treat the windows and entry points with a residual insecticide that stays active for up to three months, so the flies still arriving don’t get a foothold.
Cluster flies return to the same buildings every year, and one treatment rarely clears them completely, so control usually runs over two autumns. Most homes stop seeing them after the second treatment, and severe cases can take a third year. Every repeat treatment is included in your fixed price, so you won’t pay again when we come back. Bats are a protected species, so we always check the roof space for them first, and we won’t use chemical treatments where bats are roosting.
Unlike other pest control companies, we don’t charge per visit. Instead, we provide a fixed and fair quote for the problem, regardless of how long it takes, keeping us accountable to fixing the problem for good.

We deal with house flies, bluebottles and fruit flies too. For these, we find and treat their breeding sites as well as the flies themselves. For commercial kitchens and food businesses, we can fog the whole area to clear flies quickly, with full documentation for your records.
Cluster flies lay their eggs in soil, and the larvae grow inside earthworms. In autumn, usually October and November as the first frosts arrive, the adults gather on sunny walls and squeeze in through lifted tiles, felt overlaps, vents and window frames to spend the winter in your loft or wall cavity.
They come back to the same buildings year after year, and the numbers grow each time. That’s why homes near fields and farmland, and new builds on former farmland, see them most.

Vacuuming the flies off your windows helps for a day or two, and smoke bombs and sprays kill the flies you can see. None of them reach the clusters hidden deeper in the loft, insulation and wall cavities, so the infestation carries on and comes back bigger next autumn.
A cluster fly is a little larger than a house fly and a good deal slower, with a dark grey body and fine golden hairs across its back. At rest, its wings fold one over the other instead of sitting side by side. Cluster flies aren’t interested in your food or your bins, and they don’t breed indoors, so their arrival has nothing to do with how clean your home is.
